Step 1
Take out the Back seat cushion by lifting up on the cushion's front edge and Elimination the Back mounting bolt. to remove the floor service hole cover under the seat.
Step 2
Relieve the pressure in the fuel system by disconnection the harness connector on the fuel pump module, to start the car and to leave it run until it stalls. To loosen itself the fuel line adjustment at the bottom of the fuel filter, Capture any fuel that bleeds out with a rag.
Step 3
Disconnect the car's negative battery terminal.
Step 4
Disconnect the pump unit's élém. élect. connector and fuel lines; the lines may to have quick-connect trimmings where you need press on their tabs, and some to have flared trimmings that to require a flare-nut wrench.
Step 5
Remove the Conservation bolts for the pump/sending unit Modulate and carefully withdraw the Modulate out of the fuel tank. disconnection the élém. élect. connector of the pump.
Step 6
Remove the fuel pump of the Modulate by Slip the pipe clamp up the pipe (squeeze the attach with pliers), traction the inferior end of the pump Coward from the bracket and withdrawing the pump of the hose.
Step 7
Disconnect the admission strainer of the pump by Elimination its Fastens with a small screwdriver.
Step 1
Assemble the new pump on the Modulate by to connect itself the admission strainer and the pipe to it and installation it on the bracket.
Step 2
Install the re-assembled Modulate by to connect itself the élém. élect. connector and bolting the Modulate in place in the fuel tank.
Step 3
Re-connect the fuel lines and élém. élect. connector to the pump/sending unit module. to tighten the adjustment to the fuel filter and re-connect the battery cable.
Step 4
Re-install the floor service hole cover and the Back seat.
