Replace the Oxygen Sensor on a 1990 Camaro

  • Step 1

    Remove the negative battery cable use a wrench. blocked the cable far from the terminal.

  • Step 2

    Jack the front of your Camaro and blocked it on jack stands. to remove the jack so you can work under the car.

  • Step 3

    Disconnect the wiring harness of the top of the oxygen probe by traction it directly off the connector. to remove the probe using an oxygen probe socket and a ratchet.

  • Step 4

    Install the new oxygen probe using an oxygen probe socket. Chevrolet recommend that you Couples the oxygen probe in the 1990 Chevrolet Camaro to 30 foot-pounds with a Couples wrench. Do not over-tighten the sensor.

  • Step 5

    Reattach the wiring harness to the probe by pressing it in the connection. to increase the car and to remove the jack stands.

  • Step 6

    Return the car to the ground and to attach the negative battery cable use a wrench.
