Hook Up a Cox TV to a Dell PC

  • Step 1

    Connect the coaxial cable of the wall jack to the Ant In coaxial port on the back of the Cox cable box.

  • Step 2

    Connect the cable box to the TV Chart on the Dell PC. If your TV Chart only uses coaxial (a circular connector with a hole in the middle), to connect the coaxial cable of the coaxial connector on the Cox cable box (it is under the Ant In connector) to the TV card. If your Chart uses HDMI (a trapezoidal connector) or coaxial, but your computer only has a VGA output, use coaxial. If your Chart uses HDMI and your computer has an HDMI output, to connect a HDMI cable of the back of the Cox cable box to the TV card.

  • Step 3

    Connect a cable of the back of the computer to a video entry on the back of the TV. If you connected use the coaxial cable in stage 2, to connect the VGA cable of the computer to the TV. If you used an HDMI cable in stage 2, to connect the HDMI cable of the computer to the TV.

  • Step 4

    Tune the TV to the entry that corresponds to the one you just connected.
