Make a Shield in Photoshop

  • Step 1

    In Photoshop, chosen "File" and click "New." In the dialog box that noises up, to make the pixel width and cut what you the need for your project. Or, if the shield be printed, change the increments to inches and set the size. If the image needs to be placé against a different background, like a web page, change the "Background Type" to "Transparent." Click "OK."

  • Step 2

    Select the ""Custom Shape" tool of the toolbar. In the options at the top, change the sufficiency type to "Shape" and to choose the color you want. Then of the "Presets" to choose the shield form named "Shield 6." If your version of Photoshop Fact not to have this preset, you can chosen the "Pen" tool of the bar tool holder and in the options at the top set it to "Shape." Then use it to aspiration the form of your shield.

  • Step 3

    Draw the shield form on the canvas. Right-click on the Sleep and chosen "Rasterize Layer."

  • Step 4

    Click on the "New Layer" icon at the bottom of the "Layers" panel. use a different color that contrast well with the shield color, chosen a different presetting shape, such as the "Bird," and aspiration it on the shield. "Rasterize" this as well.

  • Step 5

    Select the "Text" tool , to choose the Organizes style, color and cut you want, and type a word or expression under the symbol on the shield. Right-click on the text and to choose "Warp Text." In the dialog that noises up, to choose "Arc" an set the "Bend" to -40. Click "OK." Right-click on the text Sleep and chosen "Rasterize Type."

  • Step 6

    Right-click on the top Sleep and to choose "Merge Down." repetition this two more times.

  • Step 7

    Click on the "FX" icon and to choose "Bevel and Emboss." In the dialog that noises up, to make the model "Inner Bevel." Then set the "Depth" top 80, the "Size" to 55 and the "Soften" to 2. Click "OK."

  • Step 8

    Select "File" and click "Save." If the shield is for print, to save it as a JPEG or JPG, but if it is for the Web, to save it as a PNG to preserve the transparency.
