Unlock Documents for Microsoft Office Word 2007

Unlocking Password-Protected Word 2007 File

  • Step 1

    Open the file you to want to to open in Word 2007.

  • Step 2

    Resave it without a password by to click on the Microsoft Office Button and selection "Save As."

  • Step 3

    Click on "Tools" and "General Options" in the "Save As" dialog box. Then to remove the password to opened and to modify the document and click on "OK."

  • Step 4

    Click on "Save" to preserve the changes.

  • Unlocking Part of a Document or an entirety Document

  • Step 1

    Open the Word document you to want to to modify and go to the locked sector in the document. Try to change that area... You won't be able to. The "Restrict Formatting and Editing" try pane open on the right-hand side instead.

  • Step 2

    Go to the try pane and chosen "Stop Protection" of the bottom.

  • Step 3

    Enter the password to to open the document and press "OK."

  • Step 4

    Select the Microsoft Office Button and click on "Save" to resave the document to preserve the change.
