Step 1
First you want to start by boiling the chicken. If thawed cook for an hour, if frozen closer to an hour and a half. Make sure the chicken is cooked thoroughly. De-bone the chicken and let sit until the dumplings are done.
Step 2
In a large bowl mix some flour, garlic, salt and pepper. Add the eggs and water. This is where it gets tricky, you need to watch the consistency. The easiest way to do this is to mix the dough with your hands. If the dough is too sticky and gooey add more flour. If it is too dry add more water.
Step 3
Next, in a large pan boil some water. Add the onion. Using a teaspoon scoop the dough into the boiling water. Be careful not to just drop the dumpling in it will splash and burn. The easiest way is to dip the spoon in the water and just let the dumpling slide off. Let boil for 45 minutes to an hour. For bigger dumplings boil longer.
Step 4
After the dumplings are done drain the water and put the dumplings back into the pot. You can now add salt and pepper to taste. After you have gotten the taste the way you like it add the chicken and you are ready to go.
