  • Step 1

Wash/dry and cut each red pepper in half. Take out the seeds and the white inner part of the pepper. After that finish cutting it into small, long pieces.

  • Step 2

In a large frying pan, saute' on low heat, the garlic with olive oil until light brown. Add the capers and the olives and continue to saute on low heat. Make sure to not burn them.

  • Step 3

Add the red peppers. Sprinkle salt, pepper and parsley on top. Let the peppers cook on medium high heat for about 15-20 min. Stir the peppers occasionally to make sure they do not burn too much. They should become light brown on some of the edges.

  • Step 4

At same time, have the grill ready to cook the beef. If the grill is hot make sure your red peppers are almost done and you will be ready to cook the top round steak. If the pieces of steak are thick you will grill them for 3 and a half minutes on each side. If not use your judgement but don't let the meat get dried out. The meat will became tough.

  • Step 5

Cut the bread and serve. Buon Appetito!!
And please, don't forget a bottle of red wine!!
