Step 1
Brown ground beef and onion in a frying pan until done. Drain off grease.
Peel, dice and cook potatoes until done.
Drain water off potatoes and mash with butter, milk, salt and pepper to taste.

Mix ground beef and onion with the drained green beans, tomato soup and silt and pepper to taste. until well mixed in a casserole dish. I use a round glass dish unless I make more, then I use an oval blue speckled roasting pan.
Step 3
Spread mashed potatoes evenly across the top of the ground beef mixture.
Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for about 20 minutes. The mixture will be bubbly. Remove top and bake an additional 10 minutes or so until the potatoes start to brown a bit. Serve hot with buttered bread or dinner rolls.
